Hungry Catterpillas

We had such a beautiful day today. The girls were playing outside most of the afternoon. When putting some rubbish into the bin, they stumbled upon quite a few tiny, green caterpillars which kept them entertained for ages! Julia loved them until one little brave bug started crawling up her arm and she couldn't shake it off! after that she collected them in a jar and filled her jar with lots of leaves and greenery for the caterpillars to feed off. It really was fun watching them, and hearing their excitement of finding so many of them. I think they are hoping they will see the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly!
Got a feeling these ones my be moths they are so tiny!

Candy floss!

For Rosie's birthday we had planned to take the girls to the foam factory...However Rosie was so excited to go out on her new bike that we went down to the beach and let them cycle till their hearts were content, before making our way back indoors for some hot chocolate and to play a dance game on the Nintendo wii. Julia stayed with us for a little birthday tea party and the girls helped to prepare the food on the afternoon. I would of had some great snap shots but the batteries went dead in my camera!
The plan was to take the girls to the foam factory the next day, and that's what we did, only to find it closed...man! We went into codonas as they have a play area. The girls went in to play for an hour or so and enjoyed it. I wasn't allowed to take photo's with it being in a child's area but... on the way out we bought some candyfloss...which they LOVED and managed to sneak this photo while no one was watching!!

Birthday excitment

All day today, the girls have been getting excited for Rosie's birthday. They were looking through my cake books, deciding on which cake they both want. It was fun!

Finer Weather

With the finer weather coming in, the girls have spent more time playing outside, on the trampoline, playing with the neighbourhood boys!!! (more like the girls are being pestered by the boys...they come right in front of the windows and jump around and do silly tricks trying to get their attention) We've also been visiting teaching...the girls got to play with the puppies while we visited, and we spent a couple of afternoons setting up for the RS pirate party. So even though we don't have photo's or any funny stories, we've been keeping ourselves busy. With the Easter holidays here I'm sure the girls will have loads to talk about when they meet again.

Cheese!

No matter how I tried to get Rosie to smile...she would 'drop it' right as I pressed the camera button! little madam, Julia has a great smile on all the photo's!

Pirate crafting

I needed to make 60 invites to a RS birthday party we're having in a couple of weeks. As soon as I got out sand, the girls were there wanting to help. We had a great afternoon, We washed and dried juice bottles, put pebbles and sand inside, rolled up invites and put them into the bottles then tied raffia round the neck of the bottle and taped some chocolate coins to the raffia. FUN!
